on the internet there is a Cemetery record of the Old Camden Buriel ground, Camden, Oneida co unty,N.Y. the listing for Herman quotes sep 27 1834 this does not agree with some historica l records but might be of due to the poor conditon of the stones in 2000, when they were copi ed. Earlier records indicat the year as 1831
Buried in this cemetery are Daniel Byington died 20 aug 1843 age 71 of Wocutt conn
      Hannah Byington B 1772 Walcutt con.died 23 dec 1835 camden age 63
Herman Byington died 27 sep 1834 age 60
Patience Byington died 7 jun 1844 age 70 wife Herman.

Pioneer history of Camden give excellent account of Herman's life and family in the Camden ye ars.
1815 Herman purchased of George Scriba a piece of land in south side of village east of mai n st. were he built a tavern in 1816, he willed it dated may 3 1831 to Rufus Byington and Mar y his wife, and Ira Byington and Harriet his wife they convayed it to Elam Burton 9 jan 1837
