  Clyde (Bill) Dean Byington, 19 Oct 1924 - 22 Apr 2011 Bill Byington died April 22 after a stroke at his home in Sunnyvale. He was 86. Born in Nevada, he joined the army at a young age and was stationed in Texas. There he met and married his beloved Mary. With $800 in his pocket, he and Mary headed out west and settled in Santa Clara, California. They were married for 60 years and had two children, Dean and Sheryl. He started Byington Steel Treating in 1952 and established Byington Vineyard and Winery in 1987. He worked hard throughout his lifetime but also enjoyed flying his Cessna plane, being involved in his cattle ranches, and vacationing at his condo in Maui with family and friends. He loved hunting, fishing, and traveling the world. He was greatly loved by friends and family and will be dearly missed. Survived by daughter Sheryl Brissenden; stepson Thomas Judson, daughter-in-laws Sandra Judson and Kathryn Byington; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Services at 2:30 PM, May 16th at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. Published in San Jose Mercury News/San Mateo County Times on April 29, 2011
