- Laura Shirley
June 12, 1964 ~ January 19, 2012
Laura Lee Galloway Shirley was born June 12, 1964, in Pocatello, Idaho, and passed away on January 19, 2012, after a year long battle with complications from sepsis. She passed away surrounded by those who loved her. She was 47 years old.
Lori was the daughter of Robert Joseph and Lola May Byington Galloway. She married James Owen Shirley on December 1, 1995, and was sealed in the Las Vegas, Nevada, LDS Temple on December 1, 2000. She was the proud mother of two children, Danielle Nicole and Anthony Rashard. Lori graduated from Viewmont High School, Bountiful, Utah, in the class of 1982.
Lori was a very loving daughter, wife, mother, and friend. Everyone that knew her could feel of the love and compassion that she had, always willing to give of herself for those in need. Her home was always open to family and friends; the more who were there, the happier she was. Lori is survived by her parents, husband, children, and 13 siblings.
Funeral Services were held Friday, January 27, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Lakeshore Ward Chapel, 1000 S. 4500 W. Syracuse, Utah. Interment followed at the Syracuse City Cemetery.
